Arrests Made in Armed Robbery of Dollar General Store
Investigators with the Caldwell
County Sheriffs Office arrested two individuals today for the Armed Robbery of the
Dollar General Store on Connelly Springs Road in Lenoir.
This robbery occurred on the night of January 11, 2010. Investigators from Caldwell County Sheriffs
Office received information from investigators from the Catawba County Sheriffs
Office concerning the suspects. Detectives
went to the Catawba County Detention Center and interviewed one of the suspects and
developed enough information that led to the arrest of the two individuals.
Sheriff Alan Jones stated that he is
very proud of the hard work done by the detectives of both Sheriffs Offices. I want to thank the Investigators from
Catawba County Sheriffs Office. Their information led to the arrest of the two
suspects. Developing relationships with other
agencies and sharing information between departments is a vital tool in identifying
suspects and solving crimes.
Arrested was Morgan Scott Brown,
Black Male, 19 years old of Hickory, North Carolina.
He is charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. He is in the custody of the Catawba County
Detention Center under a $50,000.00 secured bond. He
has a court date of January 25, 2010 in Caldwell County.

Also arrested was Cecil Ray Traylor, Jr., White Male, 19 years old of Conover, North Carolina. He is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. He is in the custody of the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $75,000.00 secured bond. He has a court date of January 25, 2010 in Caldwell County.
