Sheriff Alan C. Jones has announced
that on July 7, 2011, another prescription drug investigation came to a close with the
arrest of a
Ice Agents began investigating Curtis
in February of this year. Ice Agents, working
closely with an undercover officer from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation,
managed to have the agent introduced to Curtis. A
relationship was established and the undercover agent began making purchases of
Hydrocodone from Curtis.
As a result of the operation, two
full prescription bottles containing one hundred hydrocodone pills each was purchased from
the suspect. The drugs seized have a street
value of approximately $1,000 according to State guidelines.
Agents plan on contacting Curtis prescribing physicians to make them
aware.
We are going to continue our
aggressive approach on prescription medication violations. Sheriff Alan C.

The following person was arrested and
charged with the listed crimes:

Robert Lee Curtis Jr,
W/M, age 55
Six (6) counts of
Trafficking in Hydrocodone.
Curtis was incarcerated under a
$150,000 secured bond in the
