Bodies Discovered

 

On June 4, 2010 at 2:13 pm the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office received a call concerning a suspicious vehicle that had been burned in the area of Rhodhiss Dam in Rhodhiss, North Carolina.  Responding officers located the burned vehicle.  While examining the vehicle the officers discovered what appeared to be two bodies in the vehicle.  

Investigators responded to the scene to start an investigation and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation was contacted to assist with processing the scene. Investigators from the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office and the SBI are working together to solve this death case investigation. 

Sheriff Alan Jones stated that detectives are still working to positively identify the two bodies.  Sheriff Jones further asked that anyone with any information concerning this incident to please contact the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office at 828-758-2324 or Crime Stoppers at 828-758-8300.
