Breaking and Entering Suspect Arrested
On Friday morning, April 2, 2010 at
5:47 am, the Caldwell County Sheriffs Office received a phone call from the
residence located at 2979 Morganton Blvd. SW, Lenoir in reference to the victim's car
being broken into. The victim stated that he
went to his vehicle and found that his satellite radio had been stolen. Deputy Chris Hightower investigated the incident
and found evidence on the scene that led him to the suspect.
Upon locating the suspect and
speaking with him, the victims property was located and returned to the victim. While on the scene, more victims phoned the
Sheriffs Office to report that they had found their cars broken into and property
taken. The officers on the scene were able to
locate the property of these victims in the suspects possession. The suspect was arrested without incident.
Sheriff Alan Jones said, The
responding officer did a great job following the evidence and developing a suspect,
allowing him to locate and return the victims' property and make an arrest in these
cases.
Arrested in these cases was Seth
Logan Mitchell, white male, 16 years of age, of 2971 Morganton Blvd., Lenoir, North
Carolina. Mr. Mitchell is charged with five
counts of Felony Breaking and Entering into Automobiles, four counts of Larceny and four
counts of Possession of Stolen Property. Mr. Mitchell is incarcerated in the Caldwell
County Detention Center under a total of $40,000.00 secured Bonds.
