Breaking and Entering Suspect Arrested

On Friday morning, April 2, 2010 at 5:47 am, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call from the residence located at 2979 Morganton Blvd. SW, Lenoir in reference to the victim's car being broken into.  The victim stated that he went to his vehicle and found that his satellite radio had been stolen.  Deputy Chris Hightower investigated the incident and found evidence on the scene that led him to the suspect.

Upon locating the suspect and speaking with him, the victim’s property was located and returned to the victim.  While on the scene, more victims phoned the Sheriff’s Office to report that they had found their cars broken into and property taken.  The officers on the scene were able to locate the property of these victims in the suspect’s possession.  The suspect was arrested without incident.

Sheriff Alan Jones said, “The responding officer did a great job following the evidence and developing a suspect, allowing him to locate and return the victims' property and make an arrest in these cases.”
