Break-In at Gamewell Drug

            On March 17, 2010 at approximately 3:15 a.m., Deputy Isaac Pennell was checking Gamewell Family Drug located at 2655 Morganton Blvd. in Lenoir.  Deputy Pennell found the front door glass broken out and determined that someone had entered the building.  After deputies searched the building and determined that the suspects were not inside, the owner was contacted and asked to respond to the business.  Once on the scene the owner was able to determine that numerous medications had been removed from the store. 

Investigators are following up on several leads in an attempt to identify a suspect or suspects.  Investigators are also asking that if anyone has any information on this incident to contact the Detective Division at 828-759-1554 or Crimestoppers at 828-758-8300.

Sheriff Alan Jones said “Our department will use all its resources to locate these suspects and remove these medications from the community.”
