Lenoir man arrested on marijuana charge

 On February 17, 2010, Ice Agents with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lenoir man on a true bill of indictment for possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana.  The arrest of Baxter Allen Hood, age 44, stemmed from an investigation which had occurred last year on September 24, 2009.  Agents, acting upon complaints, searched his home located at 4880 Calico Road in Lenoir and seized a little over one pound of marijuana along with items of drug paraphernalia.  A Caldwell county grand jury returned a true bill of indictment on February 2, 2010.  The marijuana has a street value of $4,320.00 according to North Carolina state guidelines.  As a result of the investigation, the following person was arrested:

One (1) Count – Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana.

Hood was incarcerated under a $2,500.00 secured bond in the Caldwell County Detention Center and has a court appearance in Superior Court in Lenoir on March 1, 2010.
