Robbery Suspect Arrested
On December the 9, 2009 the Caldwell
County Sheriffs Office received a call from the owner of Unifour Airsoft of 1200
Premier Road of Granite Falls, NC in reference to a Breaking and Entering. The suspect backed his vehicle into the business
front glass doors to make entry into the business but was unsuccessful in taking any
property.
During the investigation of the
Dollar General Store armed robbery Detective Andrea Longo was able to develop information
leading to a suspect in the Airsoft breaking and entering.
The suspect was arrested and has been charged with Felony Attempted Breaking
and Entering and Injury to Real Property. The
suspect is incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $20,000.00 secured
bond.

Mark Leon Howell, B/M,
date of birth 10-26-1970.
He is a resident of Lenoir, NC and was arrested on January 25, 2010.
Detective Longo stated that there may
be additional charges against Mr. Howell from other jurisdictions.
Sheriff Alan Jones stated, The
hard work by investigators of the Dollar General robbery not only led to the arrest in
that case but allowed us to clear another case with the arrest of Mr. Howell. I am very proud of the hard work and dedication
that the employees of the Sheriffs Office put forth daily to make Caldwell County a
safe place to live.
