Dollar General Armed Robbery

On Monday, January 11, 2010 at 2057 hours, Caldwell County 911 received a call from Dollar General located at 1721 Connelly Springs Rd. Lenoir, NC 28645.  The caller advised that a unknown black male wearing a black in color toboggan, black in color bandana, black in color shirt and pants, wearing black in color gloves, also armed with a wooden baseball bat had entered the store demanding money.  The unknown black male made off with an unknown amount of monies.  Witnesses advised that the black male is about 6’01” – 6’03” in height weighing around 220 pounds.  Anyone with information regarding this incident or the location of the suspect in this case, please contacts the Caldwell County Crime Stoppers at (828) 758-8300, or contact the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office at 828-758-2324.

 Sheriff Alan Jones stated that the employees of Dollar General did a great job of remaining calm and were able to give the investigators valuable suspect information.  “They did a great job of remembering details that will greatly assist us in this investigation” Jones stated.  Sheriff Jones further stated that if anyone has any information in this case to please contact the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
