Drug Dealer Gets Early Holiday Visit from the Ice Unit
On Tuesday, November 23, 2009, Undercover Agents with the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office Ice Unit paid a visit to an unsuspecting resident, Kenneth Edwin Bowman, Jr., of 4868 Hurricane Hill Road in Granite Falls. The visit stemmed from a long term investigation involving other large scale drug dealers. During the investigation, the agents learned that Bowman was hiding assets in his name for some of the dealers. The agents also believed he was storing drugs at this residence.
Following the visit, the agents managed to obtain consent to search his premise and found approximately 1/2 ounce of powder cocaine, 1/2 pound of marijuana, four firearms, and $990.00 in cash. Also seized was a 2005 BMW. According to state guidelines, the cocaine and marijuana has a street value of $3,380.00.

W/M, DOB: 06/14/1959
One (1) Count - Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine
One (1) Count - Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana
One (1) Count - Felonious Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep/Store a Controlled Substance
Bowman was incarcerated in the Caldwell County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond.
