I worked at Morganton Department of Public Safety in 2003. I started at the Caldwell
County Sheriff's Office as a reserve officer in 2003 and went full-time in December, 2008.
Current position and duties:
Courthouse Baliff, which means security at the courthouse, maintaining order in the
courtrooms, service of warrants and other civil papers and transportation of prisoners.
Why did you get into law enforcement?
I was just drawn to the profession

today?
Satisfaction in seeing justice served
What challenges do you face each day on
the job?
Being proficient in all my duties. Making sure a fatal tragedy does not occur in the
courthouse

Working for Sheriff Jones as a school resource officer or an investigator

What do you like to do in your free
time?
Boating and fishing, taking care of my beautiful baby boy. I am also the associate
pastor at Union Baptist Church in Oak Hill.
