Marijuana Trafficker in
Custody
On August 28, 2009, agents with the
Caldwell County Sheriff's Office Ice Unit, Lenoir Police Department and North Carolina
State Bureau of Investigation executed a drug search warrant at 3650 Townsend Farm Lane in
Lenoir. The residence is a rental home. The Sheriff’s Office Swat Team was utilized
to secure the premise. The search warrant was
issued in conjunction with an undercover operation, where an informant was used to make
purchases of drugs from the home. Narcotic
Agents conducted surveillance on the residence and through intelligence gathering
techniques, determined this was the opportune time to serve the warrant.
Agents searched the premise and netted
approximately 28 pounds of marijuana, 6 grams of cocaine, numerous prescription pills, 6
pistols, 2 assault rifles, and $11,500.00 of United States Currency. The marijuana, cocaine, and pills have a street
value of over $ 101,000.00 according to State guidelines.
The investigation is continuing and others are expected to be arrested.

place was identified as a major distribution hub for marijuana and cocaine. Our agency, working in partnership with the SBI
and Lenoir Police Department, managed to close shop for them. I appreciate all the hard work these agencies put
into this investigation”.
