(Click Captain Longo's name to send him an email) The Patrol Division has come along way through the years. A brand new design for Patrol cars is being slowly integrated into the fleet. These are more visible to the public and sport a new, innovative design. With the addition of at least 4 new 4 x 4 Vehicles, something which the Sheriffs Office has never had before on patrol, deputies are more enabled to respond to residents in the remote part of the county in inclement weather; especially those residents who whose driveway crosses streams or travel far into a wooded area.
Captain Mike Longo heads the division of 24 uniform deputies that provide law enforcement for Caldwell County. This includes responding to various types of calls from domestics, robbery's, larceny's, and homicides to civil disputes, land disputes, children locked in cars, and a whole token of other types. If you can think of any type of call to be answered, these officers have answered them. The patrol division also serves most of the criminal and a great number of the civil process in Caldwell County. Other officers from the Support Services Division assist in answering calls for service when they are not tied up on their assigned duties or are in the general vicinity of a dispatched call. The men and women of the patrol division are dedicated to protecting the citizens of Caldwell County. This site was last updated 07/01/08 |
