Captain Mike Longo's Credentials

Captain Longo is a 16 year law enforcement veteran. 

He has an A.S. Degree in Criminal Justice and thousands of hours of law enforcement training. 

He has received numerous medals, service awards, and commendations throughout his career including the Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate, the Purple Heart, and the Medal of Valor for courage and bravery in the line of duty. 

In addition to his responsibilities as Patrol Division Commander, Captain Longo is the Commander of the County’s Regional SWAT Team and is also the Lead Firearms Instructor for the Sheriff’s Office. 

Some of the numerous certifications he holds are:  General Instructor, Specialized Firearms Instructor, Sub-Machine Gun Instructor, Rapid Deployment Instructor, Hazardous Materials and Explosives Instructor, Concealed Carry Handgun Instructor, SWAT Operator, Glock Pistol and Sub-Machine Pistol Armorer, M-16/AR-15 Rifle Armorer, and Springfield Armory XD Series Pistol Armorer. 

Captain Longo lives in the Cajah’s Mountain community with his wife and two children.
